I was born in 1964 in Üsküdar, İstanbul. Following my primary, secondary and high school education, I graduated from Economics Department of Istanbul University Faculty of Economics in 1987.

After I completed my military service as reserve officer in Doğubeyazıt, I started my career in banking in a private participation bank in 1990. I worked in Trade and Risk Tracking services and afterwards I worked as Loan Operations Manager, Head of Risk Tracking Group and lastly Administrative Services Group Manager during my career in the banking sector for more than 27 years.

I took part in the foundation of a foreign-capital private participation insurance company in 2008, where I served as a member of the board of directors until 2015. 

I have given training on the methods for the use of institutional and individual funds, foreign exchange and foreign trade practices, leasing and incentive transactions, insurance and customs proceedings.

I have a good command of English.

I am married and  I have four children.
