The investigation concerning Güneş Ekspres Havacılık A.Ş. and Condor Flugdienst GmbH has been completed. The decision was announced today (November 01, 2011).
The investigation Güneş Ekspres Havacılık A.Ş (SunExpress) and Condor Flugdienst GmbH (Condor), initiated with the decision of the Competition Board dated June 10, 2010 was completed today. The decision was announced today (Tuesday, November 01, 2011), at 2:00 p.m., by the Acting Vice-Chairman of the Competition Board, H. Erkan Yardımcı. The decision imposed administrative fines on Condor Flugdienst GmbH, while no fine was imposed on Güneş Ekspres Havacılık A.Ş.

Notes:
- Article 4 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition prohibits agreements and concerted practices between undertakings as well as decisions and practices by associations of undertakings which prevent competition, including cartels in particular.
- In accordance with article 16 of the Act on the Protection of Competition, Competition Board may impose administrative fines at up to 10% of their turnovers as calculated by the Board to undertakings and associations of undertakings determined to have engaged in such practices.
- In case undertakings which engaged in the practices listed in article 4 of the Act on the Protection of Competition apply for leniency under the provisions of the "Regulation On Active Cooperation For Detecting Cartels," an administrative fine may not be imposed for these undertakings, or there may be discounts over the amount of the administrative fine imposed.
