Liberalization policies applied in the field of transport during recent years throughout the world and in Turkey are very important for the elimination of the barriers that complicate the establishment of competition in this area. Those developments in the sector show that competition will increase and competition law enforcement will gain more and more importance. "Symposium on Liberalization, Competition and Competition Law in the Transport Sector" will be organized upon the cooperation request of Dokuz Eylül University and in collaboration with the Turkish Ministry of Transport, Dokuz Eylül University and Turkish Competition Authority on October 14-15 in order to understand the process better and increase academic interest and public awareness.
The symposium will start with "Opening Remarks" of the Minister of Transport Binali YILDIRIM, the Minister of Customs and Trade Hayati YAZICI, the President of Turkish Competition Authority Prof. Dr. Nurettin KALDIRIMCI and the Rector of Dokuz Eylül University Prof. Dr. Mehmet FÜZÜN and will host high-level representatives from public institutions and agencies related to the subject, officials from the European Commission, heads of associations and chambers related to the transport sector, representatives from the private sector and academics.
We will be honored by the participation of our valuable shareholders to the "Symposium on Liberalization, Competition and Competition Law in the Transport Sector", which intends to bring together researchers in the subjects of liberalization, competition and competition law in the transport sector and ensure the discussion of problems in this field and exchange of information.
