Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted in relation to the claims that ready-mix concrete firms operating in the İzmir province had signed competition distorting or restricting agreements and/or engaged in concerted practices.
After discussing the information, documents and findings acquired during the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 20.04.2016, the Board deemed them significant and sufficient, and took the decision numbered 16-14/223-M in order to launch an investigation on
− Batıbeton Beton San. A.Ş.,Article 4 of the Act no 4054 prohibits anti-competitive agreements and concerted practices between undertakings. The investigation was initiated in order to determine whether the companies in question violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 in the ready-mix concrete market.

These declarations, which are made within the framework of informing the public on Competition Board decisions, cannot be interpreted to mean the undertakings or associations of undertakings under investigation have violated the Act no 4054 and that they have faced or will face sanctions under the Act.
