Competition Board concluded the investigation launched in order to determine whether Volkan Yolcu Taşımacılığı Seyahat Nakliyat Tic. A.Ş. and Öz Edirne Birlik Mustafa Altunhan violated article 6 of the Act no 4054, in response to the claim that Volkan Yolcu Taşımacılığı Seyahat Nakliyat Tic. A.Ş., which operates the Edirne Intercity Bus Terminal, and the company titled Öz Edirne Birlik Mustafa Altunhan, which operates as an agency in the Edirne intercity bus terminal, prevented competition in the intercity passenger transportation services market by refusing to lease offices to bus firms that provide bus passenger transportation services, by forcing them to sign agency agreements and by terminating ongoing agency contracts.

As a result of the discussion of the file by the Competition Board on 19.07.2017, it was decided that Volkan Yolcu Taşımacılığı Seyahat Nakliyat Tic. A.Ş. and Öz Edirne Birlik Mustafa Altunhan abused their dominant positions through practices aimed at complicating the operations of their competitors in the market, and that therefore they violated article 6 of the Act no 4054, and consequently administrative fines should be imposed on the companies concerned in accordance with article 16 of the Act no 4054.
