The Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted in response to the application regarding the claim that Sony Eurasia Pazarlama A.Ş. violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 by means of determining the resale price of the products sold by its dealers.

After discussing the information, documents acquired and evaluations made in the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 07.09.2017, the Board concluded that the findings were significant and sufficient, and took the decision no 17-28/458-M to initiate an investigation about Sony Eurasia Pazarlama A.Ş. in order to determine whether the undertaking in question violated article 4 of the Act no 4054.

Those announcements, which are made within the framework of informing the public about the decisions of the Competition Board, cannot be interpreted to mean that the undertakings or associations of undertakings under investigation have violated the Act no 4054, or they are or will be subject to penal sanctions under the Act.
