Investigation conducted in order to find whether Hyundai dealers in Istanbul violated the Act no 4054 by jointly determining the sales prices of vehicles and accessories within the framework of the Quality Stability Program was concluded.
The investigation was initiated as a result of the preliminary inquiry based on the claims that Hyundai dealers in Istanbul fixed the prices of Hyundai brand vehicles by an agreement made under the scope of the "Quality Stability Program" and dealers deviating from those prices were punished. At the investigation phase, whether the Quality Stability Program ensured common prices among dealers related to the sales of vehicles and accessories and the control mechanism for the application of the agreement were analyzed.
As a result of the discussion of the contents of the file by the Competition Board on 16.12.2013, it was decided that the following undertakings violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 by jointly determining the sales prices of vehicles and accessories as well as sales conditions within the framework of the "Quality Stability Program" and shall be imposed administrative fines:
