The Competition Board took the decision no. 18-05/77-M to initiate an investigation about the following undertakings to determine whether Ünsped Paket Servisi San. ve Tic. A.Ş. (UPS) and mail/package/freight transporters which purchase international transport services from UPS and resell allocated customers and therefore violated article 4 of the Act no. 4054:
On its meeting of 29.03.2018, the Competition Board took the decision no. 18-09/162-M that the subject of the investigation initiated according to the Board decision dated 15.02.2018 and numbered 18-05/77-M shall be changed as “whether certain undertakings operating in the market for mail/freight transportation violated article 4 of the Act no. 4054 by means of customer allocation”; investigation shall be initiated about the following undertakings and this investigation shall be combined with the investigation initiated according to the Board decision numbered 18-05/77-M:
In the same meeting, the Board also took the decision no. 18-09/161-M, following the preliminary inquiry initiated according to the Board decision no. 18-05/77-M(1), to initiate an investigation about the following undertakings and this investigation shall be combined with the investigation conducted according to the decision no. 18-05/77-M:
* Investigation decisions taken by the Competition Board are announced to the public following the notification of the decision to the undertakings or associations of undertakings under investigation. Those announcements, which are made within the framework of informing the public about the decisions of the Competition Board, cannot be interpreted to mean that the undertakings or associations of undertakings under investigation have violated the Act no 4054, or they are or will be subject to penal sanctions under the Act.
