The Symposium on "Micro Reforms for the Economy of Turkey and Competition Policy" on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the establishment of the Competition Authority, was held on Wednesday, 23 March 20011 (27.12.2012)
Beginning at 09:30 at Bilkent Hotel, Ankara with the opening remarks of the President of the Competition Authority Prof. Dr. Nurettin KALDIRIMCI, President of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority Hasan KÖKTAŞ, President of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority Dr. Tayfun ACARER, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner YILDIZ, and Minister of Industry and Trade Nihat ERGÜN, followed by the keynote speech of the economist Dr. Rauf GÖNENÇ, Head of Austria Turkey Desk, OECD; the symposium proceeded in two subsequent sessions and a panel.
The first session of the symposium was on “the Relationships between Industrial Policy and Competition Policy”, the second session was on “Reforms in Network and Infrastructure Industries” and the symposium ended with the panel discussion on “Infrastructure Problems, Micro Reforms and Competition”.
