The Investigation Conducted concerning 6 Companies Operating in the Cement Sector in the Aegean Region Concluded (18.1.2016)
The investigation that was conducted in order to determine whether Article 4 of the Act no 4054 was violated by
- As Çimento Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.,- Batıçim Batı Anadolu Çimento Sanayii A.Ş.,
- Batısöke Söke Çimento Sanayi T.A.Ş.,
- Çimentaş İzmir Çimento Fabrikası Türk A.Ş.,
- Denizli Çimento Sanayii Ticaret A.Ş.,
- Göltaş Göller Bölgesi Çimento Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.
has been concluded.
The investigation was launched as a result of the preliminary inquiry initiated in response to the applications which included claims that the aforementioned cement producers operating in the Aegean Region were engaging in practices that were in violation of the Act no 4054.
Following the discussion of the file in the Competition Board meeting of 14.01.2016, it was decided that

- Göltaş Göller Bölgesi Çimento Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.
had violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 by engaging in concerted practices to allocate regions and increase prices, and that administrative fines should be imposed on the aforementioned companies.
