The investigation concerning Tetra Laval Holding & Finance SA and Tetra Pak Paketleme Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi, which are operating in manufacturing and selling aseptic liquid food filling machines and aseptic liquid food packages has reached the hearing stage.

On 30.03.2023 Tetra Pak Paketleme Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi was added as a party to the investigation, which was initiated according to the Competition Board decision dated 29.12.2022 in order to determine whether Tetra Laval Holding & Finance SA violated article 6 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition (the Act no 4054). The subject of the investigation is the claim that the said parties distorted competition by means of tying products by abusing their high market power and the power granted by the Industrial Property Act no 6769 and.  

The investigation examines whether the said undertakings violated article 6 of the Act no 4054 by means of abusing their dominant position by tying and/or using three-dimensional brand rights in the markets for manufacturing and marketing aseptic liquid food filling machines and aseptic liquid food packages.

The hearing will be held at the Competition Authority Headquarters on July 23, 2024, at 10:30.
