The investigation conducted in relation to the application claiming that the Association of Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) violated the act no. 4054 by means of the following practices reached the hearing stage: TÜRSAB requires that the agencies organizing hajj and umrah journeys should buy the compulsory package tour insurance policy from an undertaking which is TÜRSAB’s subsidiary; makes discrimination by not taking the amount of money collected under the name of service charge from some of the agencies; requires the agencies to buy transport services as well as catering services in Saudi Arabia from undertakings it designated. The hearing will be held on 3 October 2018, at 2:00 pm.

In accordance with the "Communiqué on Hearings Held before the Competition Board", complainants and third parties who wish to attend the meeting should apply to the Competition Authority together with a petition including the information and documents which establish their interest in the subject matter of the meeting until the end of the working hours on 24 September 2018.
