The final examination conducted according to the Competition Board decision dated 08.09.2022 and numbered 22-41/576-M regarding the establishment of joint control by Dalsan Yatırım ve Enerji AŞ and Saint-Gobain Weber Yapı Kimyasalları Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ on Dalsan Alçı Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ, which is controlled by Dalsan Yatırım ve Enerji AŞ, and Saint-Gobain Rigips Alçı Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ, which is controlled by Saint-Gobain Weber Yapı Kimyasalları Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ, has been concluded.

During the final examination process, whether the transaction would result in a significant lessening of effective competition within a market in the entirety or a portion of the country, particularly in the form of creating or strengthening a dominant position contrary to article 7 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition was examined.

After discussing the file, the Competition Board has taken the decision dated 08.12.2022 and numbered 22-54/829-339 that the establishment of joint control by Dalsan Yatırım ve Enerji AŞ and Saint-Gobain Weber Yapı Kimyasalları Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ on Dalsan Alçı Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ, which is controlled by Dalsan Yatırım ve Enerji AŞ and Saint-Gobain Rigips Alçı Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ, which is controlled by Saint-Gobain Weber Yapı Kimyasalları Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ is subject to authorization under the scope of article 7 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition and the Communiqué Concerning the Mergers and Acquisitions Calling for the Authorization of the Competition Board, and the transaction shall be authorized as it would not result in significant lessening of competition.
