The final examination conducted pursuant to the Competition Board decision dated 17.03.2022 and numbered 22-13/201-M concerning the acquisition of the tenancy rights and fixed assets of Ay-mar Ticaret Ltd. Şti.’s 25 stores in Trabzon and Giresun by Migros Ticaret A.Ş. has been concluded.

During the final examination process, whether the transaction would result in significant lessening of effective competition within a market in the entirety or a portion of the country, particularly in the form of creating or strengthening a dominant position, contrary to article 7 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition was examined.

Having discussed the contents of the file, the Competition Board has  taken the decision dated 23.06.2022 and no 22-28/449-181 that the acquisition of the tenancy rights and fixed assets of Ay-mar Ticaret Ltd. Sti.’s 25 stores in Trabzon and Giresun by Migros Ticaret A.Ş. is subject to authorization according to the Communiqué no 2010/4 Concerning the Mergers and Acquisitions Calling for the Authorization of the Competition Board and the transaction shall be authorized since competition will not be lessened significantly as a result of the transaction.
