The Board Decision concerning the commitments offered by Coca Cola Satış ve Dağıtım A.Ş. (CCSD) in the investigation to determine whether the undertaking concerned violated the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition by preventing the sale of competing products at the final outlets (Date: 02.09.2021, Number: 21-41/610-297) (6.9.2022)
With its decision of 02.04.2020, the Competition Board had launched an investigation to determine whether Coca Cola Satış ve Dağıtım A.Ş. violated the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition by preventing the sale of competing products at the final outlets.
While the investigation process was ongoing, CCSD submitted a comprehensive commitments package as a result of the discussions held in response to its application to initiate a commitments process addressing the competitive concerns identified in the file.
After discussing the contents of the file on 02.09.2021, the Competition Board found the commitments concerned proportionate to the competitive concerns, suitable for addressing those concerns, implementable in the short term and efficiently applicable, and therefore decided to make the relevant commitments package binding and conclude the investigation.
