Liberalization policies applied in various countries of the world and in Turkey in the transport area in the recent years point out that competition will increasingly become more intense and that competition law practices will appear on the agenda more frequently in this area in the forthcoming period. The “Symposium on Liberalization, Competition and Competition Law in the Transport Sector” organized to understand this process better and to increase the academic interest and public awareness in this area will be held with the contributions of Turkish Ministry of Transport, Dokuz Eylül University and the Competition Authority upon the request for cooperation extended by Dokuz Eylül University to our Authority.
