Investigation launched on TTNET (16.2.2017)

Competition Board concluded the preliminary investigation conducted in response to the application claiming that the economic entity comprised of Türk Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. and TTNET A.Ş. abused its dominant position by means of packages offering fixed broadband internet and pay-TV services.

Competition Board, after discussing the information, documents and findings gathered during the preliminary investigation in the meeting of the Board on 19 January 2017, deemed the findings significant and sufficient and took the decision no 17-03/25-M launching an investigation on TTNET A.Ş. to determine whether it violated Article 6 of the Act no 4054.

As known, Article 6 of the Act no 4054 on the protection of competition prohibits abuses of dominant position. The investigation was initiated in order to determine whether the undertaking in question violated Article 6 of the Act no 4054.
