Investigation Launched on the Burdur Province Office of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers of TMMOB (Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects) and 13 Undertakings Operating in the Field of Freelance Mechanical Engineering (19.12.2016)

Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted in response to the application claiming that freelance mechanical engineers operating in the Burdur province violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 by engaging in revenue sharing through the formation of a common pool.

After discussing the information, documents and findings acquired in the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 16.11.2016, the Competition Board decided that the findings were significant and sufficient, and took the decision no 16-39/632-M to launch an investigation on the following undertakings:

− Aktan Mühendislik Mak. İmalat San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti.,
− Osman Deniz Mühendislik Müşavirlik San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti.,
− Furkan Mühendislik (Furkan ERDEMİR),
− Öz Dizayn Mühendislik Doğalgaz İnşaat Taahhüt San. Tic. Ltd. Şti.,
− Şenses Teknik Ltd. Şti.,
− Tolacı Mühendislik (Hasan Ali TOLACI),
− Bems Mühendislik (Fethi KIRLI),
− Savran İnş. Müh. Müş. Hizm. San. Tic. Ltd. Şti.,

Article 4 of the Act no 4054 prohibits anti-competitive agreements and concerted practices between undertakings. The investigation was initiated in order to determine whether the office and undertakings in question violated article 4 of the Act no 4054.

These declarations, which are made within the framework of informing the public on Competition Board decisions, cannot be interpreted to mean the undertakings or associations of undertakings under investigation have violated the Act no 4054 and that they have faced or will face sanctions under the Act in question.
