Investigation Launched on Lüleburgaz Chamber of Merchants for Drivers and Motorists (9.12.2016)

The preliminary inquiry conducted in response to the application claiming that Lüleburgaz Chamber of Merchants for Drivers and Motorists, which operates the Lüleburgaz Municipality Bus Terminal, abused its dominant position by refusing to rent office space to the complainant company.

After examining the information, evidence and the findings gathered in the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 16.11.2016, the Competition Board decided that the findings were significant and sufficient and took the decision numbered 16-39/644-M to launch an investigation on Lüleburgaz Chamber of Merchants for Drivers and Motorists.

Article 6 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition prohibits abuses of dominant position. The investigation was initiated in order to determine whether Lüleburgaz Chamber of Merchants for Drivers and Motorists violated article 6 of the Act no 4054.
