Investigation Launched on Enerjisa Enerji A.Ş., Toroslar Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş., Enerjisa Toroslar Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş., Başkent Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş., Enerjisa Başkent Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş., İstanbul Anadolu Yakası Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. and Enerjisa İstanbul Anadolu Yakası Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş. (31.1.2017)

Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted in response to the application claiming that Toroslar Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. and Enerjisa Toroslar Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş. Engaged in various practices to complicate the operations of independent providers, prevent the exercise of consumers’ right to choose their own providers, and thus violated the Act no 4054.

After discussing the information, documents and findings acquired during the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 28.12.2016, the Competition Board decided they were significant and sufficient, and took the decision numbered 16-45/715-M in order to initiate an investigation on

- Enerjisa Enerji A.Ş., Toroslar Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. and Enerjisa Toroslar Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş.,
- Başkent Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş., Enerjisa Başkent Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş.,
- İstanbul Anadolu Yakası Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. and Enerjisa İstanbul Anadolu Yakası Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş.
to determine whether they violated article 6 of the Act no 4054.

Article 6 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition prohibits abuses of dominant position. The investigation was initiated in order to determine whether the companies in question violated article 6 of the Act no 4054.
