The Competition Board (the Board) concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted about the claim that Arzum Elektrikli Ev Aletleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ (Arzum), which is operating in the small appliances sector, violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition by means of determining the resale prices and restricting online sales of its resellers.

The findings obtained during the preliminary inquiry were considered sufficient and in the meeting of the Board on 20.02.2025, the decision numbered 25-07/177-M(2) was taken that an investigation shall be launched on Arzum according to article 41 of the Act no 4054 in order to determine whether Arzum violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 by intervening in the sale prices of its resellers and by preventing active and passive sales to the resellers, which Arzum makes direct sales to, by their distributors.
