The Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted about the claim that undertakings operating in hybrid industrial gherkin seed and hybrid vegetable and fruit seeds markets violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition.

Having discussed the information and documents acquired and observations made in the preliminary inquiry in its meeting on 07.11.2024, the Competition Board considered the findings significant and sufficient and took the decision no 24-45/1055-M to open an investigation about

The undertakings in question are operating in the fields of seed production, breeding, import and export. The investigation will examine whether the undertakings violated the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition in areas such as price fixing and sharing competitively sensitive information with their competitors.
