Investigation Initiated concerning Türk Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. (30.5.2013)

Competition Authority concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted in response to the complaint claiming that Türk Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. sold its product called TT Card to its own dealers/agencies at below-cost prices.

After examining the information, evidence and the findings gathered in the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 09.05.2013, the Board concluded that the findings were significant and sufficient, and with the decision numbered 13-27/370-M decided to open an investigation on Türk Telekomünikasyon A.Ş.

Article 6 of the Act no 4054 prohibits abuses of dominant position. The investigation was initiated in order to determine whether Türk Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. violated article 6 of the Act no 4054 by its pricing practices related to the phone cards it sold under the scope of its fixed-line telephone services.
