Investigation Initiated Concerning Mersin Şimşek Group Turizm İnşaat Petrol Ürünleri Gıda Taşımacılık Kuyumculuk San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. (29.7.2015)
The Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry launched in response to the application claiming that Mersin Şimşek Group Turizm İnşaat Petrol Ürünleri Gıda Taşımacılık Kuyumculuk Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. onstructed the operations of bus companies by setting exhorbitant rent prices for offices and refusing the allocate appropriate spaces at the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality New Bus Terminal Complex.
The Competition Board, after discussing the information, documents and establishments obtained during the preliminary inquiry on its meeting of 09.07.2015, deemed the findings significant and sufficient, and took the decision numbered 15-29/429-M to initiate an investigation concerning Mersin Şimşek Group Turizm İnşaat Petrol Ürünleri Gıda Taşımacılık Kuyumculuk Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti.
As known, Article 6 of the Act no 4054 prohibits abuses of dominant position. The investigation was launched in order to determine whether Mersin Şimşek Group Turizm İnşaat Petrol Ürünleri Gıda Taşımacılık Kuyumculuk Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. violated article 6 of the Act no 4054.
