Competition Board concluded the investigation it conducted in order to determine whether the ready-mix concrete producing undertakings operating in the Central District of the Erzincan Province violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 by practices aimed at jointly determining their terms of sales.
The investigation was initiated in response to the complaint applications claiming that ready-mix concrete producers in Erzincan carried out their sales via the joint company they established via collusion and that they implemented price increases for concrete at nearly 40%. In the investigation phase, it was examined whether undertakings in question established a joint sales system in order to coordinate terms of sales for reay-mix concrete and whether competition-sensitive information was exchanged under this system within the framework of article 4 of the Act no 4054.
