Investigation conducted to find whether the members of the Association of Driving Courses in the Aegean Region violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 by fixing driving course fees was concluded.
The investigation was initiated as a result of the preliminary inquiry that was based on the complaint that the Association of Driving Courses in the Aegean Region, whose members are the driving courses operating in İzmir, fixed course fees each year.
As a result of the discussion of the contents of the file by the Competition Board on 11.08.2014, it was decided that the Association of Driving Courses in the Aegean Region did not violate article 4 of the Act no 4054 by fixing course fees on the basis of driving license type and the discount rates to be applied to the course fees; therefore it is not necessary to impose administrative fines to the said association according to article 16 of the same Act.
However an opinion shall be sent to the association of undertakings in question stating that it should avoid practices that may constitute an infringement of the act no 4054.
