Pursuant to the Competition Board decision dated 12.08.2021 and numbered 21-38/549-M, an investigation was initiated into the claim that Tadım Gıda Maddeleri San. ve Tic. AŞ abused its dominant position in the market for packaged nuts with exclusionary activities and complicated its competitors’ activities, and violated the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition by intervene in dealers’ prices and determining the resale price.

While the investigation process was ongoing, Tadım Gıda Maddeleri San. ve Tic. AŞ made an application to initiate the commitment process in respect of the competitive concerns in the file and discussions were made. Consequently, Tadım Gıda Maddeleri San. ve Tic. AŞ submitted a comprehensive commitment package.

The Competition Board discussed the file on 07.07.2022 and decided that the commitment package would be rendered binding and the investigation would be terminated since the commitments were proportional to the competition problems, able to solve those, quickly realizable and efficiently applicable.
