The investigation initiated upon the claims that Renault Trucks Türkiye Ticaret A.Ş.'s "Authorized Service Standards" did not comply with the Block Exemption Communiqué no 2005/4 on Vertical Agreements and Concerted Practices in the Motor Vehicle Sector and Renault Trucks Türkiye Ticaret A.Ş. practiced discrimination between authorized services and private services to determine whether the said undertaking violated article 4 of the act no 4054 was concluded.
The investigation started after 13th Chamber of the Council of State annulled the Board decision dated 25.02.2009 and numbered 09-08/155-48 concerning the same issue. The investigation examined whether Renault Trucks Türkiye Ticaret A.Ş. fulfilled the requests of the applicant regarding technical information, device, equipment and training as well as whether it practiced discrimination between authorized services and private services.
As a result of the discussion of the contents of the file by the Competition Board on 01.10.2014, it was decided by majority of votes that Renault Trucks Türkiye Ticaret A.Ş. did not violate article 4 of the Act no 4054 by means of authorized service standards and discriminatory practices against private services.
