Investigation concerning Mey İçki Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was terminated upon the commitment offered.

According to the Competition Board decision dated 21.10.2021 and no 21-51/708-M, an investigation was launched about the claim that Mey İçki Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. violated the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition by complicating its competitors’ activities through the investments and financial benefits it provided to the final sales points.

While the investigation process was ongoing, a commitment package was submitted by Mey İçki Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. as a result of the discussions made upon its application for initiating the commitment procedure related to the competitive concerns in the file.

As a result of the discussion of the file on 06.10.2022 by the Competition Board, it has been decided that the commitments shall be accepted since they are able to eliminate the competition problems detected within the scope of the file and they shall be made binding for the relevant undertaking, and the investigation shall be terminated.
