The Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted about the claim that Meta Platforms Inc. violated article 6 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition by means of tying Threads, which it has recently launched, with Instagram application.

After discussing the information and documents obtained and observations made in the preliminary inquiry in its meeting on 23.11.2023, the Competition Board considered that the findings were significant and sufficient, and took the decision numbered 23-54/1031-M that an investigation shall be opened about Meta Platforms Inc.
