The Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry about the application claiming that Göltaş Çimento A.Ş. and As Çimento San. ve Tic. A.Ş. operating in Isparta province violated the Act no. 4054 through fixing cement prices and allocating customers by pressuring ready-mixed cement producers.

After discussing the information, documents acquired and observations made during the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 03.05.2018, the Board concluded that the findings were significant and sufficient, and took the decision no 18-13/243-M to initiate an investigation about the following undertakings in order to determine whether the undertakings in question violated article 4 of the Act no 4054:

• Göltaş Çimento A.Ş.
• As Çimento San. ve Tic. A.Ş.

*Investigation decisions taken by the Competition Board are announced to the public following the notification of the decision to the undertakings or associations of undertakings under investigation. Those announcements, which are made within the framework of informing the public about the decisions of the Competition Board, cannot be interpreted to mean that the undertakings or associations of undertakings under investigation have violated the Act no 4054, or they are or will be subject to penal sanctions under the Act.
