The Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted upon the claim that EssilorLuxottica S.A.’s practices complicating the activities of its competitors and excluding them in the optics sector violated article 4 and 6 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition.  

After discussing the information and documents acquired and observations made during the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 21.10.2021, the Competition Board concluded that the findings were significant and sufficient, and took the decision no 21-51/709-M to initiate an investigation about EssilorLuxottica S.A. in order to determine whether it violated the Act no 4054.
