The Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry concerning Viking Kağıt, which is operating in the production and sale of toilet paper, paper towel, wet towel, wet wipe, cologne, facial tissue and pocket tissue in the cleaning products market. The preliminary inquiry was made about the claims that Viking Kağıt set the resale prices of its buyers and thus violated Article 4 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition (the Act no 4054).

After discussing the information and documents acquired and observations made in the preliminary inquiry in its meeting on 18.04.2024, the Competition Board considered that the findings were significant and sufficient, and took the decision numbered 24-19/407-M that an investigation shall be opened about Viking Kâğıt ve Selüloz Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ.
