The application concerning the acquisition of joint control over Yeni Karamürsel Giyim ve İhtiyaç Mad. Tic. San. A.Ş. and YKM Yeni Karamürsel Giyim ve İhtiyaç Maddeleri Pazarlama A.Ş. from Lale Güven TUĞLU, Ali Fethi AĞRALI, Kemal Tuğrul AĞRALI, Fuat Turgay AĞRALI, Nuşin ORAL, Murat Emir KUNT and Esin TABOĞLU to Boyner Büyük Mağazacılık A.Ş. through the transfer of shares has been taken under final examination, with the Competition Board decision dated 31.05.2012 and numbered 12-29/386-M.

As known, article 7 of the Act no 4054 on the protection of Competition tasks the Competition Board with the duty to control merger and/or acquisition transactions which will result in a significant decrease in competition within markets. Within the framework of article 10 of the Act, the Board may take those transactions which require a more in-depth examination in terms of their affect on the competitive structure under final examination.
 
In accordance with article 10, a merger/acquisition transaction notified to the Board is suspended and may not be put into practice until the final decision is taken, however taking the transaction under final examination does not necessarily mean that the transaction will not be authorized.
