This year the theme of the Competition Report, which we have published regularly since 2011, is "Screening the Legislation in our Country from Competition Policy Perspective". The starting point of the report is the fact that legislation compatible with competition rules promote economic growth by ensuring efficient allocation of resources and increasing productivity. The report casts light on the provisions in the effective legislation that might restrict competition.

The report is intended to help public authorities and institutions take into account competitive perspective while making new regulations or amending the existing ones. It also examines the legislation in the past and gives examples from countries which experienced important growth in their economies by analyzing their legislation. Touching the Competition Assessment Guide, which has previously been published, the Report emphasizes the importance of considering competition policy beside other aims.
